All In Oatmeal

Oatmeal can be so personal. I feel like it’s one of those things that have to be tailored to how the person enjoys it. For me, the toppings I choose on my Oatmeal bowl depends on how the day feels like.

Today I’m feeling love and joy. It’s Mother’s Day! It’s also my first blog post on demeals.ca!

And because my amazing loving mother is a few continents away from me, I’m dedicating this gorgeous bowl to her. In fact, I’m dedicating this whole blog to her.

I tried to choose the toppings that she likes best that were available at my house – considering the unfortunate circumstances we live in now under COVID19.

So, I went All In on this Oatmeal with all the goods she likes. The Kiwi is probably one of her favourite sour fruits. Both Raspberry and Blackberry are in her top choices of fruits to snack on. But what really makes this bowl special to my mother is the Pomegranates. I remember always making a mess as a child trying to dig them out of the fruit, and yet she wouldn’t stop buying them. She just loved them.

If you want to pamper someone, make them a cosy bowl of oatmeal with their favourite toppings that bring an emotional meaning to the bowl you’re serving.

And this is what I wish to accomplish with this blog. Bringing love and joy to you through food.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hope you give this recipe a try. I’m sure you will enjoy it! If you do, I would love to see your recreation and learn how it went. Leave me a comment here and tag me on Instagram/Facebook/Pinterest/TikTok @demeals.ca #demeals
